Quick commerce
Blinkit margin calculator
Quick-commerce platforms usually work on a margin or commission on the selling price plus logistics and visibility spends. Model the unit economics before you list.
How it is calculated
- Net sales = selling price ÷ (1 + GST rate). The GST collected belongs to the government, so it is excluded from profit.
- Marketplace fees = selling price × (commission + payment fee) + fixed, shipping and storage fees.
- GST on fees is counted as a cost only when you cannot claim it back as input credit.
- Returns cost = return rate × cost per return, spread across every unit sold.
- Profit = net sales − fees − product, freight, packaging, ad and return costs. Margin = profit ÷ net sales. ROI = profit ÷ product and freight cost.
- Break-even price is the selling price at which profit is exactly zero with the same fees and costs.
Before you use the numbers
Terms differ by brand and category. Use the margin structure agreed with the platform. The values shown when the page opens are examples, not current marketplace rates. Results are estimates for planning and are not tax or accounting advice.
