Landed cost calculator (export)
Before pricing for an international marketplace, add freight, insurance, duty and destination taxes to your product cost. Enter the duty and tax rates confirmed by your customs broker.
How it is calculated
- Goods value = unit cost × units. Insurance = goods value × insurance %.
- Duty = (goods + freight + insurance) × duty %. Import tax = (goods + freight + insurance + duty) × tax %.
- Landed cost per unit = all of the above + clearance ÷ units. Converted at the exchange rate entered.
- Gross margin compares landed cost with the planned selling price, before marketplace fees.
